Microsoft's Project Scorpio game console is still on track for a holiday 2017 release, says Xbox boss Phil Spencer, and "amazing progress" is being made on the system. Spencer says he recently attended a meeting about the console and he is feeling good about where it's at.
I'm in a day long review of where the team is on Scorpio right now, amazing progress and we are feeling good about schedule.— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) October 24, 2016
Spencer noted earlier in October that Scorpio was coming along "really well," suggesting the console is moving towards its release target and should be a major product for the company. Of course, there's a lot that could happen over the coming year.
Project Scorpio will be the "most powerful console ever made," says Microsoft.
