The next game in the Star Wars Battlefront series may be out before the end of next year. Blake Jorgensen, CFO of EA, recently suggested during an earnings call that the game would arrive during the fall of 2017. He stated Star Wars Battlefront 2 is headed for a release "a year from now."

We're working very hard on making sure that is an extremely deep and engaging offering. - Jorgensen

We know the game features content from the new movies, whereas Battlefront only used content from the original trilogy. "Bigger and better worlds" will also be included, says Jorgensen.

Two EA studios, DICE and Motive Studios, are working on the game.
