Google Android 4.4 Codenamed 'KitKat' Now Official


Have you been dreaming of an Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie powered Nexus 5? Well, don't waste your REM sleep time because Google has other plans for its popular mobile operating system. Coming up next is Android 4.4, codenamed 'KitKat' which has been revealed as the successor to the Jelly Bean family, who have clearly overstayed their welcome. Get ready, Android 4.4 is headed our way.

"It's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody."

Announced by Sundar Pichai, the man also revealed that Android device activations have crossed over a billion in number, up from the 900 million figures announced back in May this year.

So long Key Lime Pie, hello KitKat.
