SpaceX Delays First Manned Dragon Launch, Now Scheduled For 2018

SpaceX's first manned launch with its Dragon capsule isn't going to take place until 2018. The company had planned to carry out a manned mission for NASA next year, but it says further evaluation of its Falcon 9 fueling system is necessary. It'll use the extra time to review and adjust its "designs, systems and processes."

The additional evaluation time follows a Falcon 9 explosion that occurred in September 2016. NASA was a little more concerned about the manned launch after that incident.

An unmanned test launch of the Dragon capsule is scheduled for November 2017.
