Micromax rolled out a strangelet that's big in size, reasonably good with features, but light on the wallet. The 4.7-inch Canvas Ego A113, was launched in the company's home market of India, this Tuesday (03/09), at a retail price of 12,999 INR (US $190).
The Canvas Ego A113 supports dual-SIM, with one of the two taking 3.5G HSDPA (7.2 Mbps), while the other is basic EDGE. Its 4.5-inch screen offers WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution. An 8-megapixel camera handles the imaging department
Under the hood, the Canvas Ego A113 runs the ubiquitous MediaTek MT6589 chip, with quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.20 GHz. This chip is wired to 1 GB of RAM, and 4 GB of expandable storage. Android 4.1.2 "Jelly Bean" is at the helm. A 2,000 mAh battery keeps it ticking. This over the $199 Google Nexus 4 8 GB?
