Amazon has reported another record-breaking holiday season with over a billion items shipped through Prime and Fulfillment by Amazon between November 1 and December 19. That's over 5x as many items as were shipped last year.
Some of its own products were quite popular, particularly its Echo devices. Amazon says it had trouble keeping the Echo line in stock.
Many people relied on the eCommerce site for last-minute shopping. Prime Now's biggest day was December 23.
A successful Black Friday and Cyber Monday contributed to Amazon's high shipment figures last month.
