Qualcomm recently teased some features of its upcoming flagship chipset for mobile devices and promised to reveal more details at the upcoming CES 2017. Just ahead of the event, the presentation slides of the Snapdragon 835 have emerged online, revealing almost everything about it.
Most of the details aren't really new to us. The chipset will be built by Samsung using the 10nm mode, and comes with 27% improved performance over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, using less energy. The overall physical dimension is also smaller the Snapdragon 820.
The Snapdragon 835 is also the first chipset to have a gigabit-class LTE modem thanks to the implementation of the X16 LTE modem. There will be new Kryo 280 cores paired with the Adreno 540 GPU that supports 10-bit, 4K, 60 fps video playback with OpenGL ES, Vulkan, and DirectX 12 graphics.
The last feature, which we have heard of, is the Quick Charge 4, which is able to charge your phone to 50% in just 15 minutes.
