After announcing the mobile workstation called Precision 5520, the company now unveiled a new 17.3-inch Precision 7720 that is also Dell's first Virtual Reality (VR) Ready mobile workstation. The laptop is designed specifically for VR content creation.
Not much is said about the design, but considering that Precision 5520 is very similar to its predecessor, we could assume that the 7720 is not very different compared to 7710, except for more powerful specifications. Dell says the 7720 is their most powerful mobile workstation, featuring Intel "Kaby Lake" Core-series or Xeon-class processors, and NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics card based on Pascal architecture. There is also an option for a 4K display, up to 64GB of RAM, up to 4TB of total storage via two M.2 PCI-Express solid-state-drive (SSD) slots and a single 2.5-inch bay.
