Apple is said to be working with optical systems maker Carl Zeiss AG to create an augmented reality (AR) device. Robert Scoble says an employee present at Carl Zeiss' CES stand confirmed Apple's connection to the company. It appears they may be collaborating on a mixed reality product.
Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, has said the company is interested in augmented reality, which he considers more useful than VR.
As we've seen in the past, a mixed reality product from Apple could potentially make AR mainstream.
Scoble says the glasses could be announced this year.
