When Intel's CEO has got something to say, you listen to it carefully. While giving his speech at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2013 in San Francisco, Bryan Kraznich revealed that a new breed of tablets are in preparation, getting ready to invade the market this holiday season. The new series of tablets will be priced affordably, sub-$100, further putting pressure on costly tablet manufacturers like Apple and even Samsung.
While Kraznich didn't specify as to which platform the said tablets will run on, it is safe to assume that they will neither be running Windows, nor iOS. So that only leaves our beloved Android OS, which already does have sub-$100 tablets. What Kraznich means is that we might soon be seeing Nexus 7 (2012) class tablets at a price point that is simply too irresistible to say no to.
Well, let's hope that Kraznich's got his sources placed correctly.
