China Concerned About Apple App Store

China is concerned about Apple's App Store and is going to be "tightening up checks on software applications" that are available through the store, reports the state-run Xinhua News Agency. Chinese officials, including from the Cyberspace Administration, have been visiting the company's offices in Beijing.

The country appears worried about some of the apps on the store since they may be providing easy access to content that's typically forbidden. As a result of this move from authorities, China could demand many apps no longer be available for use in the country.
