The Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter campaign is still steadily marching forward as they have now exceed 2 million dollars in funding pledges from backers. This level brings a "Boss Rush Mode", and brings them within $200,000 of hitting the goal for more platform version.
Mighty No. 9 is the creation of Keiji Inafume and other members of the team which created the original Mega Man, and is touted as being the spiritual successor to that game.
If the Kickstarter campaign hits the $2.2 million mark, the game is set to receive version for Sony's PlayStation 3, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii U. They have recently added another stretch goal set at $3.3 million that promises versions for Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4.
Given there are still 19 days to go, they may just make it. The campaign original goal was to get backers to pony up $900,000 which they accomplished in less than two days.
