As Dell Goes Private, CEO Says 'No' To Smartphones

It's been a while since we last saw a Dell branded Smartphone. The company is best known for their quality notebooks and Windows tablets, and CEO Michael Dell, who is very happy these days thanks to the $25 billion buyout approval, has revealed a sad future for phones.

The company, after going private, won't be focusing any resources on Smartphones. The good part is that we aren't really losing out some really amazing products, and people who remember the Dell Venue and Venue Pro will heartily agree with that. Hopefully, the company's push into tablet and hybrids doesn't face a slowdown as we simply love their innovative designs.
