Nintendo's Switch console again outperformed its competitors in the US during April. New data from NPD Group reveals the console saw more than 280,000 unit sales during the month, making it the most popular system. Granted, the more widely used PS4 and Xbox One have been available for years.
This is now the second month in a row that the Nintendo Switch has come out ahead. It was the best-selling console during its debut month of March.
Nintendo also had 68,000 sales of the 3DS family. Between the Switch and 3DS, the company had "almost half of all hardware sales across all dedicated video game systems."
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was April's top-selling game with over 460,000 copies sold.
