Calls and messages to the Amazon Echo can now be blocked. With an update for the system, users now have the "ability to block contacts from calling and messaging you." That feature was previously absent, leaving users with little control over the voice calling capability.
The block feature has first reached the Alexa app for iOS. In it, you can "block" anyone you don't want to receive messages or calls from.
When the lack of blocking was highlighted last month, Amazon responded by saying it'd fix the problem "in the coming weeks."
