Sony Mobile has confirmed that a new build of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean has begun rolling out to the Sony Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. The new update is a significant one as it brings a ton of bug fixes, tweaks and optimizations, at least according to Sony it does.
For now, we only know that "display, camera, battery fixes & performance tweaks" are a part of the package. Many Xperia Z owners were complaining about slower performance and reduced battery life after upgrading to Android 4.2.2. This news should definitely make disgruntled Xperia Z owners happy. And as a bonus, the camera and display will also be getting some new features, or performance fixes. Our guess is that the new Xperia Z1 Honami camera app is being rolled out to the aforementioned devices, which by the way has received very good reviews already.
