Back when Jolla announced their first Smartphone running on Sailfish OS, based on Nokia's now-dead MeeGo project, the company did not reveal the specifications required to run the new open-source platform. Fast forward a few months, and we now have the official specifications of Jolla (that is the name of the phone as well).
You have 4.5-inch "Estrade" qHD (960 x 540) display, 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, 1 GB of RAM, 8 MP rear camera, 2 MP front snapper, 16 GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, a 2,100 mAh battery and running on Sailfish OS. You will be able to purchase Jolla for €399 (roughly $550) when the phone begins shipping later this year.
