Last time we checked, LG had plans to launch their new flagship in Asia before the end of September. We're happy to let our readers from the subcontinent know that the Korean phone makers will launch their new flagship LG G2 in the country on September 30th. And we've got some sources who have let us know the expected retail price of the handset, just INR 39,990. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note III which costs INR 49,990, a full 10k cheaper handset (roughly $180) makes a hell lot more sense to us, especially when the difference in screen size is just 0.5 inches.
LG G2 is no slouch, with a 2.26 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC inside, a gorgeous 5.2-inch 1080p IPS+ panel, an impressive 13 MP rear camera with OIS and fast 1080p capture, a behemoth 3,000 mAh battery. Also, the device runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box with LG's own UI overlay, which looks more and more like Samsung's TouchWiz with each new iteration.
