It seems that owners of Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles, that were manufactured or refurbished between 2006 and 2008, are experiencing some problems with Grand Theft Auto 5 crashing and freezing. Re-installation of the game does not seem to alleviate the problems.
A Rockstar representative reportedly told one user that they are currently gathering up information concerning the problem and as a work around to try clearing the console's cache and then re-install.
There were also problems reported on the PlayStation 3 when using the PlayStation Network digital version. At the moment, there has been no response to the PS3 problems. In fact, it has not even been acknowledged by the publisher.
Given the millions of copies of the game that have been sold, that will be played on consoles of all ages, it not uncommon for technical issues to crop up with a huge new release. While it is frustrating for the players, a little patience will go a long way as the company works to correct the issues.
We'll keep an eye out for more information on the game's issues as they become available.
