Oracle Will Cut Hundreds Of European Jobs

As part of a reorganization, Oracle is cutting a large number of employees in Europe. The Register reports Oracle will consolidate its European hardware support operations in Romania. Since there are 424 European employees working on hardware support and just 137 are in Romania, an estimated 287 people could be without a job.

This transition to Romania has already started, according to sources.

Most of the employees who could be affected are in Germany, Spain, France, or the UK. The support team in Germany is shutting down first, with a scheduled closing between February and May 2018.
