Dual-SIM phones took off like nothing when they were first introduced in developing markets, and since then, there has been no turning back. The biggest brands now offer a range of dual-SIM Smartphones, and often, dual-SIM variants of their existing devices. Sony's entry-level Xperia M went through the same treatment, which has resulted in the new Xperia M dual.
While all physical specifications remain the same (4.0-inch FWVGA display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon SoC, 1 GB RAM, 5 MP Exmor R rear camera, 0.3 MP front camera, 1750 mAh battery and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean), the only difference between the dual and the original Xperia M is the secondary SIM card slot.
The expected cost of the device is $340, which is a bit too high for our liking. Here's hoping that the M dual arrives in countries such as India for under $250.
