iPhone 8, iPhone X Won't Work With T-Mobile's 600 MHz LTE Network

Apple's new iPhones, including the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X, aren't going to work with T-Mobile's upcoming LTE Band 71 (600 MHz) network. The hardware included with those handsets isn't compatible with the network and network support can't be added later.

The smartphones in the US work with FDD-LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, and 66, as well as TD-LTE bands 4, 38, 39, 40, and 41.

T-Mobile's 600 MHz network could arrive in the US this year. The carrier acquired that spectrum in an FCC auction back in April and it'll also be used for T-Mobile's 5G ambitions.
