Apple's rumored 12-inch iPad is no unicorn. It looks like Apple won't wrap its current generation of iPad with just the 7.9-inch iPad mini 2, and 9.7-inch iPad 5, but an even bigger 11.9-inch iPad for the emerging 12-inch class market segment. Apple is reportedly already in talks with notebook and tablet OEM Quanta, over contract-manufacturing of the tablet. The 12-inch iPad, apart from its bigger screen, could feature higher display resolution, faster hardware to keep up with that, and the predictable competition from Samsung, with its "me too" Galaxy Note 3 12.2.
