Unimicron to Produce Apple SoCs post Samsung Dump

It is clear that Apple ended up with Samsung as a manufacturer of components for its devices. Taiwanese TSMC was also mentioned but allegedly TSMC can't or don't want to satisfy Apple's needs. If the rumors are true, Unimicron already started with the production of Apple's processors.

Apparently the Taipei-based manufacturer has passed a smaller-scale test in the current quarter in which they tested if they are capable of delivering the basic ARM foundation for Apple's AX chipset. The report goes on to state that Unimicron will enter mass production when their new plant is launched sometime in 2013.
