Space Game ORBITOR Coming To Consoles.

Nnooo, a Sydney, Australia based developer, has announced that they will be publishing the game ORBITOR on console. The game is a space-themed action adventure and was developed by Australian studio Evil Aliens. Unfortunately, they didn't say which console.

In the game, players control a space probe named ORBITOR and lock it onto various objects. They then orbit them to gather speed, and destroy the objects to collect energy life forms which they release.

"This is a great opportunity for us to get our game across multiple platforms," said Dale Ward, Director of Evil Aliens. We've been developing ORBITOR for a couple of years now and we're really happy with how it's progressing. Teaming up with Nnooo to get the game on to console was a no-brainer."

The game is set to see a console release in the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand sometime in 2014. They will announce the pricing, and hopefully what console, at a later date.

Sydney based developer Nnooo has announced they will be publishing ORBITOR on console. ORBITOR is a visually stunning action adventure game which takes place in space themed environments ranging from nebulas to complex orbital systems. Within each space system players must control a space probe named ORBITOR to lock it onto objects, orbit them to gather speed, destroy them and collect the energy life forms they release. The probe is an autonomous and self repairing Artificial Intelligence returning to its place of origin complete with upgraded abilities and a new mission - to stop its creator.

ORBITOR is being developed by Australian studio Evil Aliens. The game is currently on Steam Greenlight and was recently included in the Warp Zoned PAXpocalypse List covering The Best of PAX Prime 2013.

"We've had our eye on ORBITOR for some time now," said Nic Watt, Creative Director at Nnooo. "We saw the game at last year's EB Expo in Sydney and thought it would look great on console. It's also got an amazingly atmospheric soundtrack which draws you right into the game. We're really excited to be working with the Evil Aliens team on their first project."

A trailer for ORBITOR can be found here.

The orbital systems within the game's levels are only a small part of a much larger network of systems that fill the entire nebula. They all work together like a giant machine. The exact purpose of the machine or who created it are not revealed until the last section of the game. Through the ORBITOR the player is destroying the machine and its defence systems piece by piece as they make their way to the centre of the nebula.

"We are working closely with Evil Aliens to bring ORBITOR to console," said Watt "As the game is developing it is important that we make sure any platform it comes to is a great fit and that ORBITOR makes the best use of each platform's capabilities. We'll have more details in the near future."

ORBITOR marks the second title Nnooo is publishing. Last month the studio announced it was publishing 3 Sprockets' highly successful 3D strategy game Cubemen 2 on Wii U.

More details on Orbitor, including the trailer and screenshots, can be found on the Orbitor website.

Orbitor is expected to be released on console in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand in 2014. Price to be announced.
