Single Player Progress Won't Transfer To Next-Gen Consoles

If you were planning on buying some of the big games coming out this fall, and then taking advantages of the upgrade promotions to jump to the next-generation console versions, you need to be aware that not all of your saved game progress will transfer over.

It's being reported by Kotaku, that people who purchase the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions of Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, but their single player progress (save games) will not transition over. The multiplayer progress of these games will carry over, but players who have been playing in the single-player modes will have to start the game over on the new consoles.

It was also confirmed that the single-player progress in the game Assassin's Creed IV will not transfer either, and there was currently no verification on whether the multiplayer progress will either.

Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed IV are set to release on October 29th and Call of Duty: Ghosts is slated for launch on November 5th.
