Remember the first time you set your eyes on the Samsung Galaxy Gear? Yeah... So it wasn't your typical love-at-first-sight affair. In fact, going by looks alone (and not considering other factors), there is no love waiting to happen. A Samsung insider agrees to that, who has been quoted saying:
"We've acknowledged that our Gear lacks something special. With more investment for user interface and user experience, Samsung devices will be better in terms of customer satisfaction."
Earlier reports spoke about a Samsung executive saying those same words, but it really was an insider who gave his words to a journalist off-the-record. Anyhow, according to reports from elsewhere, the new Galaxy Gear has met an overall warm response across the globe. With Samsung said to be working on improving the UI and other software features (instead of a Galaxy Gear 2 right away), the future of the standalone Android Smartwatch looks very bright. The market will get heated up soon, once Apple makes their entry with the rumored iWatch later this year, or early in 2014.
