After a rough start, Xiaomi has managed to save 2017 by releasing affordable, yet very interesting new Redmi phones. Back in September, it has moved a record 10 million phones and because of that, Xiaomi is aiming for a new record this year. The company wants to ship 90 million phones by the end of the year.
For comparison, the company managed to sell only 58 million in 2016 and 70 million in 2015. The current numbers show that Xiaomi holds number two spot in China - behind Huawei, but CEO Lei Jun wants to recapture the position of top smartphone maker in China by 2020.
