Broadcom Might Acquire Qualcomm For $100 Billion

Qualcomm is a well-known company that makes chipsets and modems for mobile devices. It is mostly known for its Snapdragon lineup, but lately the company is dealing with a legal battle against Apple. Regardless of that, the company might be acquired by Broadcom, a wireless and broadband communication solution manufacturer.

According to a new report, Broadcom is exploring options to purchase chipset maker Qualcomm and is considering on bidding more than $100 billion, which could end up as one the biggest takeover of a chipmaker. The deal is expected to be made up of 80% to 90% cash and might be announced next week.
