Acer has been working very hard with their Windows 8 tablets. The Iconia W1 was the world's first small-screen equipped tablet to run the full x86 version of Windows 8. Sadly, the device failed to meet expectations, so Acer has come up with a new version of the device.

Enter the Acer Iconia W4, whose existence has been revealed by a new video. were lucky enough to go hands-on with the "vastly improved" Iconia W4 which reportedly packs much better viewing angles (compared to the Iconia W1), and is powered by Intel's new 32nm Atom Bay Trail chipset (1.33 GHz Atom Z3740 to be specific). The new tablet, which sports 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, is expected to launch next month in October after Microsoft goes official with the updated Windows 8.1 OS.
