A representative from the publisher of Batman: Arkham Origins has confirmed to Kotaku that the Wii U version will be $10 cheaper since it will not include the online multiplayer mode. The game will include the same open-world single-player campaign though.
The online multiplayer mode was developed by Splash Damage, and while being available in the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions, will be omitted in the Wii U version. There is no indication as to why the Wii U did not get the multiplayer mode, but it is rather decent of Warner Bros. Interactive to drop the price point down considering it does not have all the features of the other platform version.
The Wii U version is priced at $50, vs. the normal $60, and has been updated at some online retailers already. The game is set for an October 25th release.
