A new rumor from earlier today said that the Nexus 5 would be released before the end of this month. Now, cases for the Nexus 5 by popular phone accessories manufacturer SPIGEN has pretty much confirmed that the next-generation Nexus Smartphone will be released this month, on the 31st of October to be precise.
Apart from the release date, we also happen to know most of the specifications of the upcoming Nexus. There's a Snapdragon 800 SoC, 5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display, 2 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear snapper, 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The price of owning such a device? Half as much as an iPhone 5S. This time round, the base model for $349 will come with 16 GB of internal storage. As always, the micro SD card slot will still be absent.
