A while back we had reported that Dell was planning to revive their 'Venue' brand. At that point, we had assumed that the company was referring to Windows tablets, or more specifically Windows 8.1 tablets. The latter is true, but there's more to the story than just that. Welcome aboard the new Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets, powered by an unknown version of the Android OS. Apart from their retail prices, which is $149 and $179 for the 7-inch and 8-inch versions respectively, both tablets come packing a 1280 x 800 resolution IPS display, 16 GB of internal storage and an 2 GHz Intel Clover Trail SoC under the hood. There's another tiny piece of information that Dell will offer 4G variants of their new Venue tablets, meaning that the company has scored a tie-up with at least one major US carrier.
Both the newly announced tablets will go on sale starting October 18th via Dell's official website.
