Samsung's own made ChatON messenger application, which comes pre-installed on all Galaxy Smartphones, has received a major new update. The new ChatON version 3.0 brings a much needed complete overhaul of the user interface, which is now based on Android's HOLO UI. The old skins have now been replaced by flat ones, all inspired by Holo of course. But version 3.0 isn't all about UI. The update brings a more customizable MyPage, which is your profile page, with background images. Additionally, images, videos and even locations can be shared on your friend's pages.
ChatON might not be very popular in the US, but the IM service has racked up over 100 million users from countries like India and the rest of Asia.
