Goodbye Deponia Gets October 18th Release Date

German game developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing the upcoming adventure game Goodbye Deponia on the 18th of October for Windows PC and Mac on Valve's distribution platform Steam. Pre-order now for a better deal.

This is the third, and final, game in the trilogy, the first two being Deponia and Chaos on Deponia, and the story sees the hero, Rufus, trying to escape the junk planet of Deponia and trying to get to the Utopian city of Elysium.

Anyone who pre-orders the game now will also receive the second game, Chaos on Deponia for free as well as getting a 10% discount ($17.99) on the final price ($19.99) of the game when it's released. A premium version of the game, which includes the soundtrack, concept art, an animation workbook and a book that introduces the world of Deponia, is available as a pre-order now for $22.49 (full price is $24.99).

Interestingly the Steam webpage shows the game set for an October 17th release while the press release says the 18th. Close enough we suppose.
