Indian phone manufacturer (reseller) is one of the country's most popular and hottest selling mobile brand today. The journey has been a long one, and a huge struggle against global leaders such as Samsung, Nokia and the rest. But Micromax made it thanks to their Canvas series of Android Smartphones. After the success of the Canvas 2, Micromax's Canvas HD stole everyone's imagination. Specifications which would otherwise cost more than twice its price were being offered on a phone which costs just Rs. 14,000 so of course people on a tight budget (surplus of them) or those who are value-for-money minded (again, a ton of them) flocked to Micromax's camp.
With a hit-and-miss Canvas 4 (disappointingly similar to the Canvas HD, yet costlier), Micromax is gearing up to launch the Canvas Turbo A250. And this one will be the company's first real super-phone. Reliable Micromax insider @MMXNewscaster revealed in a tweet that the upcoming Canvas Turbo A250 features a quad-core processor and a 1080p (1920 x 1080) Full HD display. No other information is known as of yet, but we are hoping for top-end specifications like a 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek SoC (at the very least), 2 GB of RAM (move beyond 1 GB please), a large 2000+ mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
