NEC Announces LaVie Tab E-Series

NEC, which built its sleek notebook lineup around the LaVie brand, extended it to its newest line of Android tablets, the LaVie E-series. The lineup includes the 7-inch LaVie Tab TE307, and the 10.1-inch LaVie Tab TE510. The two come with pretty entry-level specs.

To begin with, the LaVie Tab TE307 offers a 7-inch screen with WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixels) resolution, a combination of 3-megapixel and 0.3-megapixel cameras, MediaTek MT8317 dual-core chip clocked at 1.20 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable memory, WLAN, Bluetooth, and Android 4.1.2 "Jelly Bean" at the helm.

The LaVie Tab TE510, on the other hand, offers a slightly higher WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution, a MediaTek MT8125 quad-core chip clocked at 1.20 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage, and Android 4.2 "Jelly Bean."
