The minimum system requirements required to play Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty title, dubbed Ghosts, was leaked earlier today. What has left us completely shocked is that the amount of RAM required in the minimum system requirements has been listed at an astonishingly high 6 GB. The rest of the PC requirements are fairly decent (for 'minimum' specs) for a late-2013 title. Here you go:
Minimum System Requirements
-OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
-CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
-RAM: 6 GB RAM
-HDD: 50 GB HD space
-Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
-Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
-Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.
Recommended System Requirements
-Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
The Call of Duty game engine has finally added support for the DX11 rendering code path. While we find the requirements of a dual-core processor and a GTX 550 Ti/ HD5870 completely fair, 6 GB of RAM and 50 GB of HDD space is just a bit too much asking. Nevertheless, that isn't going to stop anyone from buying Ghosts and jumping in on the frag fests online.
