Star Citizen Rakes In Another Million In Crowd Funding

The highest crowd funding project in the history of crowd funded projects, that would be the game Star Citizen by Chris Roberts and Cloud Imperium, has exceeded the $21,000,000 milestone and players will be able to choose salvaging as a full-time career in the game.

When the game hits the $22 million milestone (we would say "if", but it does not look like people are going to stop backing it anytime soon), the developers are promising to include a facial capture system that they have devised using multiple camera technology.

We've researched a technology that uses a series of cameras to capture real heads and import them into the game. This will let the team more easily create a variety of realistic characters. In addition, the technology is mobile enough to allow us to take it on the road and capture select fans during special events!

They have also added a new milestone at the $23 million level which will unlock a Xi'an light attack/scout ship for players.
