Google Launchpad, a "two-week boot camp for early stage start-ups helping with subjects including user interface, product strategy & technology, marketing, business development and more," is being held as we speak, and some developers have heard news about the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat.
At the workshop, the latest buzz is that Google will release Android 4.4 KitKat, which the software giant announced last month, on October 15th. Naturally, the company will also launch a product with the new version of Android. This time round, it's the LG-made Nexus 5.
Up until now, we have barely information, if any at all, about KitKat. We are talking about under the hood changes, and not cosmetic ones such as a minor tweak in the camera UI or things like that. What we do know is that Android is about to get a lot more chocolaty (yum), but that's about all. The Nexus 5 on the other hand, has been left hanging out in the open as we pretty much know everything there is to about the upcoming Nexus Smartphone. Either way, if there's anything that we still don't know, we'll find out soon enough on October 15th (if the sources are accurate).
