What's this? Japan's largest carrier hasn't yet launched the Sony Xperia Z1, which happens to be the flagship Smartphone from their home country. Residents of Japan must be really jealous of folks across the globe who have been toying with the phone for over a month. Well, that torture is set to end soon as NTT DoCoMo has announced the release date for the Sony Xperia Z1. In addition, folks over in Australia should look up KDDI's website, which also reveals the release date of the phone in that region (October 23rd, i.e. Tomorrow).
Out of both these carrier-branded devices, NTT DoCoMo is going to sell a special version of the Sony Xperia Z1. While international users have had to satisfy their appetite with 16 GB of internal storage, Japan is getting a 32 GB ROM (exclusive, for now). An IR (Infrared) port and One-seg/Full-seg support will also make it to the DoCoMo branded Xperia Z1 (now we are left feeling jealous). Grab your new favorite Smartphone from Japan's largest carrier starting October 23th.
Also, a leaked image has revealed that DoCoMo will also introduce the Xperia Z Ultra phablet in Japan in a few short days.
