Sony's new mid-sized phone is not a mid-range device, but a high-end monster of a phone in a relatively small package. Designed to go head-on with the Apple iPhone, Sony's new Xperia Z1S features the same Snapdragon 800 processor and 20.7 megapixel camera as the full sized flagship. The only difference being that the Xperia Z1S (Z1 f in Japan) comes in a much more compact form factor, which is mainly attributed to the 4.3-inch screen size with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. Sony will allegedly announce yet another Xperia Smartphone on November 12th,. Codenamed Taichi, the unannounced device is rumored to feature a 6-inch HD display and be powered by MediaTek's new Octa-core chipset.
