Skype has sent out a message to all of its users that third party apps which enable a person to make use of Skype's services, such as VoIP calls for example, will soon stop working. To be more specific, by December, third-party apps for Skype will no longer be functional. The reason behind this can be attributed to the fact that Microsoft is doing away with the current programming language which was used to develop Skype, for a new one. In the next version of Skype, users can expect even better voice and video calls quality and instant messaging.
We've been working hard to develop new technologies and make improvements that will benefit Skype users across all platforms, especially on mobile devices. These changes will significantly improve the call quality and speed of delivery of instant messages, while retaining excellent battery life of mobile devices.
