It has come to our attention that the Microsoft Xbox One, set to launch in just two short weeks, will be almost useless when it first enters our living rooms. As it turns out, the console will be a $500 gigantic paperweight until you hook it up to the internet and allow it to download and install the day one software patch.
"Functionally, you will be able to do very little without taking the day one update."
"A lot of the apps come with the day one update because they wouldn't have even been done," Penello added. "You're gonna need to take this update. It's not gonna be really an optional thing'."
Of course, those who have pre-ordered the console and are eagerly awaiting its arrival have nothing to complain about. After all, this update will bring a lot of content with it, on day one itself.
