Samsung has reaffirmed that Tizen 3.0, the latest iteration of the open source platform (under active development collaborating with Intel) will be showcased at the company's first developer conference, scheduled to kick off in Seoul on November 11 (just three days from now). The Galaxy S3 was recently spotted running the unreleased OS, but the device later turned out to be a developer piece, not destined to hit the retail channel.
Also, the company has reiterated that Tizen will first come in Smartphones, and focus on other products will always be second priority compared to it (Smart TVs, for example). Expect the first Tizen 3.0 powered Smartphone to be launched no sooner than Q1 2014.
