Hisense Unveils 84-inch Ultra HD LED TV

Chinese television and set-top box maker Hisense unveiled its flagship product to visitors at the 2013 International CES, an 84-inch Ultra HD (4K, 3840 x 2160 pixels native resolution). Unlike contemporaries that chose to waste showfloor space on OLED based products that will still take a couple of years to reach consumers at acceptable price-points, Hisense' creation uses a more common LED-backlit LCD panel, which makes a 2013 market launch at a four-figure price-point more realistic. The TV uses a simplistic metal stand, uniform frame size, and two horizontal chrome accents.
