Chinese phone maker Gionee has confirmed at an event in Shanghai that the company will launch the Gionee Elife E7 flagship Smartphone on November 26th. But why should we be concerned with a new phone from China? Well, it so happens that the Gionee Elife E7 will be the world's first Smartphone to pack Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 800 MSM8794AC. The 'C' here is used to denote the revision number of the chipset. One unique feature about this chipset is its clock speed, reported to be 2.5 GHz (quad-core part). This would most definitely make the Elife E7 one of the fastest Smartphones in the world, if not the fastest.
Preliminary reports suggest the Elife E7 specifications to be as follows - 6.1-inch 2560 x 1600 IGZO display, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, 2 GB of RAM and a 3,500 mAh battery. Word is that the price will be around 3300 Yuan (~Rs. 34,000). Stay tuned for more coverage.
