Android 4.4 KitKat Factory Images Out For All Nexus Devices

*Compatible devices

Shortly after kicking off the official rollout of Android 4.4 KitKat for all compatible Nexus phones and tablets, Google released factory images of the KitKat flavored ROM as well. Why do we care? Well, OTA updates generally take a week or two (sometimes longer) to arrive, depending on your region. What you can do with a factory image by simply downloading it is, follow a set of simple instructions to manually update your prized Nexus device to the latest version of Android.

Google has updated their website with download links of stock KitKat for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 7 2013 and the Nexus 10, all running KRT16O (slightly newer than KRT16M on the Nexus 5). Keep in mind that the new Google Experience launcher and touchless controls feature is exclusive to the Nexus 5, at least for now.
