Microsoft Files "Quiet Time" Patent Application

Microsoft has filed a new patent titled "Quiet Time" which is a software implemented feature to automatically silence your phone during '"Quiet Time" from 11pm to 7am. During this period, your phone's blaring foghorn will be muted and calls will be limited (only to your parents, or 911). Think of this as a feature for parents to limit their teenage son or daughter's night time texting or calling craze. Now why is Microsoft so concerned about what teenagers do at night on their phones? Shouldn't they be happy that they are using it in the first place? Perhaps the company will advertise this as a feature to lure worried parents to buy a Windows Phone for their children.

Nothing to get excited about here. Move on now.
