Techland and Warner Bros. Interactive have decided to release a new video showing off the lighting that will be used in their upcoming game Dying Light. Techland states that it has harnessed the extra power of the next-gen consoles to develop physically based lighting.
They are using the in-house developed Chrome Engine 6, which will allow them to create more realistic lighting and shadows effects in the game, which should in turn make the game more immersive and authentic. The trailer shows off a new location in the game called "Old Town" which has not been shown before.
Dying Light, a four player cooperative action survival game set in an open world, is scheduled for a release sometime in 2014.
